Kahlil Hudson is a Native Alaskan writer, director and cinematographer working in documentary and narrative film and television.
Kahlil has received the Motion Picture Association of America Directing Award, the Mary Pickford Award in Documentary Filmmaking, the Hollywood Foreign Press Award and the Jack Nicholson Distinguished Director Award. His most recent film "The Nemesis Bird" won the 2007 UCLA Director's Spotlight Award and premiered at the 2007 Los Angeles Film Festival.
As a cinematographer, recent clients include/work aired on: the LA Opera, Current TV, Morgan Freeman's Revelations Entertainment, MTV, Showtime, and Veria.
Born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, Kahlil served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Benin, West Africa and worked in television for Al Roker Productions in New York City. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Mikiko, and is currently finishing his MFA in Film Production at UCLA’s Department of Film and Television.
